Minigames and bosses

Which minigames and bosses you can play today, how dying works there and what is coming.

Rules that apply to all of them

  • Minigames are safe. Dying never costs items, never costs hardcore status and you respawn in the minigame's lobby.
  • Everyone who takes part is rewarded, not only the player who lands the final hit.
  • Several minigames are solo friendly: you can start without waiting for a full team.

Skilling minigames in the game

  • Wintertodt: a shared round for everyone in the arena.
  • Tempoross: fish and cook, load the ammunition crates and spend your reward permits.
  • Guardians of the Rift: a simplified version with pearl rewards and a shop.
  • Pest Control: defend the Void Knight at the portals.
  • Nightmare Zone: fight boss dreams with the coffer and reward points.
  • Motherlode Mine: pay-dirt mining with Prospector Percy's shop.
  • Mahogany Homes: take a contract from a contractor and repair furniture in houses for carpenter points.

More are being added: see Coming soon for Volcanic Mine, Blast Furnace and the combat minigames.

Bosses

Many bosses are in the game and being tested, among them Zulrah, Vorkath, the Kalphite Queen, the Dagannoth Kings, Cerberus and the Kraken. They use the original mechanics and drop tables, and:

  • Dying at a boss is safe, except in the Wilderness. Your hardcore status is kept.
  • Pets and rare drops have better odds than in the original game.
  • Only the Slayer level requirements apply (no quest requirements).

If something looks wrong at a boss, tell us in #bug-reports on Discord.

Challenge fights and group bosses

  • The TzHaar Fight Cave, the Inferno and the Fortis Colosseum are open.
  • Nex and The Nightmare can be fought alone or with a group.
  • Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood and Tombs of Amascut are planned. See Coming soon.
