Every update, newest first. Short notes are also posted in Discord #changelog.

2026-11-04 (Update v0.6.3)

New content

  • Staff can now give and take items, edit banks and handle mutes and bans from a new web panel, so reports get dealt with faster.
  • Wiki: the Guides section is now a full wiki at privateps.com/wiki with a newcomer guide (your first hour, game modes, XP rates, commands, rules), a page for every item with how to obtain it (drop rates, shops with prices, skilling, Grand Exchange price), drop tables for every monster and boss with the loot value per kill, money making methods with gp per hour from our own prices, a guide page for every skill, a search box and a phone-friendly layout; the old Guides links keep working.
  • Wiki: moderators and above get an Edit button on every page (markdown editor with preview, full history with one-click revert, audit log); generated data keeps updating under their changes.

Bug fixes

  • Sailing: taking the helm opens a boat control panel in the top left (heading, speed, autopilot, nearest port) with buttons to let go of the wheel, stop, use the autopilot, dock at the nearest port and leave the boat; you can still click the sea while it is up
  • Castle Wars: the Attack option on enemy players and bots is sent to your client every few seconds, so it can no longer stay missing after a respawn or map change.
  • God Wars Dungeon: the entrance hole (Tie-rope, then Climb-down with 60 Agility or 60 Strength), the way back up the entrance rope and the two Saradomin ropes (Tie-rope, Climb-down with 70 Agility, Climb-up) work again; before, every click said "Nothing interesting happens".
  • Toxic blowpipe: Zulrah's scales can be loaded again (they were ignored because another item script took the click first); item-on-item clicks now always prefer a specific recipe over a generic one.
  • Sailing: the Crew Registrar now opens a real Sailing Crew window (hire and dismiss with one click, level, price and what each crewmate does); type ::crew on a boat to look at your crew
  • Sailing: taking the wheel plays the steering animation, and the Deploy option on the salvaging hook of your boat sails to the nearest wreck or salvages at once when you are over it
  • Sailing: boats are 2.5 times faster (all boat types and tiers); turning is scaled to match, and docking and buoys still register at the higher speed

2026-11-04 (Update v0.6.2)

Changes

  • Grand Exchange: the prices are rolled back to the real OSRS prices of 12 weeks ago (12 August 2026) and FROZEN there. The weekly price refresh and every price import are switched off until the owner turns them on again, so the market no longer follows the real OSRS market.

Bug fixes

  • Pets: after a server restart a saved cooldown could block pet emotes for a long time; a stale cooldown now counts as expired.
  • Scurrius: the "food pile" timer no longer shows in the top-left corner every time you log in; the 10 minute food pile cooldown still works.
  • World map: opening it aboard a Sailing boat or inside an instanced area now shows the right map and the 'You are here' arrow (the position sent to the client was a boat-space or instance coordinate).
  • Grand Exchange: no item can be bought or sold for 0 gp any more. Offer prices must now stay within 30 percent of the guide price (both buying and selling), a bad price in the price list falls back to the item value with a minimum of 1 gp, the coins and items of an offer are now checked before it is placed, and 104 wildly inflated prices of rarely traded items (flatpacks, premade food and the like) were lowered to the real OSRS price.
  • Sailing: boat sails and the hull trim are visible now (the cloth of the sails and the trim along the rails were missing from every boat)
  • Sailing: shipwrecks are drawn in the sea at the salvage spots, and the salvaging stations and the shipwright workbench at the ports work (sort salvage, make boat parts)
  • Sailing: every Trader Stan crewmate now talks, and the port crew stand still at their post
  • Sailing: when your cannons fire you now see the muzzle flash, the cannonball flying to the sea monster, the impact and a hitsplat, and a sinking effect when it dies
  • Sailing: bounties are easier to follow: within 30 tiles an arrow marks the lair and the target is drawn there, the hints come less often and say how many catches are left
  • Sailing: skiffs and sloops now carry visible cannons and a salvaging hook on their deck; the cannons play their firing animation, sea monsters lunge when they bite and the hit shows as a hitsplat on you
  • Sailing: the task board and the Sailing log tell you in chat how many catches your bounties have

2026-11-03 (Update v0.6.1)

Bug fixes

  • Construction: logging out inside your house no longer puts you in a black zone. You log back in inside your house, at the exit portal (the house is rebuilt before the map loads). Logged out in any other closed instance (boss, minigame, raid, boat) you continue at the instance exit or at the spawn, never on a missing map.
  • Construction: the House Viewer is clearer: chat tells you how it works, selecting a room names it, the Portal button selects the room with the exit portal, and applying a change no longer throws you to the portal: you stay on the same tile when your room did not change.
  • Castle Wars: the number in the waiting room window now counts down in seconds during the 30 second lobby countdown (it used to sit on 1 until the game started).
  • Bots now run when they walk a longer way and have run energy (30 percent or more); the energy drains and restores like for players.

2026-11-03 (Update v0.6.1)

Bug fixes

  • Sailing: docking by hand now works. Every port has one docking buoy in the water; a boat leaving a port is put on the water inside the buoy area (not out in the open sea beside the pier), and a boat that gets within 2 tiles of a port buoy docks there, whether you steer by hand or use the autopilot. Click a buoy at the helm and the boat sails to it and docks.
  • Sailing: the direction hints in chat (next buoy, next gate, bounty quarry) are now worked out from the real position of your boat, so they point the right way.
  • Sailing: wrecks and shoals are not drawn in the sea, so the chat now tells you where the nearest one lies (direction and tiles) every minute or so while you sail; skiff and sloop get their keel part again, and their helm no longer turns when you take the wheel.
  • Sailing: shipwrights and crew registrars now stand on the open dock ground nearest the landing, never in a boxed-in pocket.
  • Sailing: a click on the sea no longer loses your autopilot course for good. The destination is kept; click the helm and choose "Resume the autopilot" to sail on from where you are.
  • Sailing: the red flag on the minimap now stays on the spot the boat is heading for (the clicked sea tile or the autopilot port) until the boat gets there or docks.
  • Chatbox typing no longer stays blocked until a relog after a window or menu was closed in an unusual way (X button, walking away, another window on top): closing a window now always restores chat typing; staff ::unstuck / Ctrl+H restores it too.

2026-11-03 (Update v0.6.0)

New content

  • Sailing pet: Soup, the Sailing pet, can now drop while you sail and work. Every sunk sea monster, salvaged wreck, trawled shoal, sorted pile of salvage, charted sea and delivered job gives a small chance. If it drops while you are on a boat, it waits and joins you as soon as you are back on land.
  • Sailing chart book rewards: charting seas now pays milestone rewards at 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 charted seas, and a big one when you have charted every sea (Sailing xp and coins, with a title in the chat line).
  • Sailing: the bigger seas now hold a second shipwreck and a second shoal, so there is more to salvage and trawl without sailing back and forth.

Changes

  • Construction: the Portal Chamber, Portal Nexus and servant lists now open as proper windows (with level and a red X when you cannot use one yet) instead of a chat menu.
  • Construction: the lectern tablet list, the storage furniture (store / take lists), the jewellery box and the mounted jewellery now open as proper windows instead of chat menus; the lectern asks for the amount with the normal number prompt.

2026-11-01 (Update v0.5.0)

Changes

  • The weekly server restart moved to Monday 12:00 US Eastern, right when the Bonus Weekend ends, with the usual 30 minute timer above the chatbox.

Bug fixes

  • Theatre of Blood: Verzik's first phase has exactly four pillars (at the corners of her arena) and she sits one tile further south; her tornado now moves onto your tile and hurts you there, and the lightning marks use the clean blood marker instead of dark spikes and black pieces.
  • Theatre of Blood: the skeleton in the Xarpus room now gives the Dawnbringer; it crumbles after Verzik's first phase (and when you leave, die or log out), and its special attack always hits Verzik for 100.
  • Theatre of Blood: Xarpus really turns to face where he looks and hurts whoever stands in his line of sight, the acid ball is seen flying before the poison lands, and the mounds glow, last longer and stay until you step on them.
  • Theatre of Blood: the Bloat's falling flesh lands on scattered tiles instead of a fixed 3x3 block, Sotetseg stands on his own tile before and after the maze with a cleaner death-ball marker, the Nylocas boss switches form without a broken animation, and the big reward chests face into the room.
  • Raid reward chests (Theatre of Blood, Tombs of Amascut, Fractured Archive, Colosseum): "Bank all" no longer says "Your bank is full." when the loot holds noted items.
  • Chambers of Xeric: the party window lists every member once (Refresh and Join no longer add the rows again), and the entrance chamber has one staircase, not two.
  • Chambers of Xeric: the Stone guardians take no damage without a pickaxe; the pickaxe on the wall is now a real iron pickaxe in your inventory (on the floor when full).
  • Chambers of Xeric: Vasa, the Skeletal mystics and the Lizardman shamans each have their own room again (the three rooms were swapped), and Vespula plays her own death animation.
  • Chambers of Xeric: the Great Olm no longer starts at the arrival tile; the magical barrier stands from the start (click Pass on it) and the fight begins behind it; a killed claw sinks.
  • Tombs of Amascut: leaving the lobby now lands on 3357,2712 outside the wall instead of inside it.
  • Teleports: the Minigames window and Grouping tab teleports always move you after the animation, also when you click or open something during the wait.

2026-11-01 (Update v0.4.1)

Bug fixes

  • Tombs of Amascut: the floor of Akkha's room and of the first Wardens room is no longer black; the raid rooms now copy the lower map plane that holds their floor.

2026-11-01 (Update v0.4.0)

New content

  • [Staff] When a Moderator, Administrator, Owner or Co-owner logs in, everyone online sees an orange "<crown><name> has just logged in!" message.

Changes

  • The Minigames teleport now lands you next to the party board of the Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood and Fractured Archive, and at a better spot at the Doom of Mokhaiotl.
  • Chambers of Xeric: the entrance steps now ask you to make or join a party on the party board first, like the other raids.
  • Shift-click drop is now switched on for every character once (you can switch it off again in the settings tab).
  • The Construction furniture menu is now a proper window in the middle of the screen (scrollable list with icon, level and materials, red X for pieces you cannot build yet) instead of a small box in the chatbox.

Bug fixes

  • Theatre of Blood: the Maiden stands on her pedestal and no longer walks, her Matomenos come in at the north and south wall and only mend her slowly when they touch her, and the extra "100100.0%" bar above the boss bar is gone.
  • Theatre of Blood: blood, acid and lightning markers no longer leave black tiles in the floor (Bloat, Verzik, Xarpus); the Bloat's falling hands are drawn and his flies are stopped by the pillars.
  • Theatre of Blood: Nylocas room has 10 waves and the small nylocas never appear inside a pillar; Sotetseg and Verzik stand on their own spot; Verzik has her three pillars; Xarpus tells about a left-alone mound once and shows poison on the floor; the skeleton in the Xarpus room gives a magic staff after the fight; death animations of the Maiden, Xarpus and other bosses; the reward room has one big chest per player.
  • Fishing Trawler: the end-of-round Fishing xp now scales with your Fishing level and catch, so a good round pays about 1.5x the best normal method at your level (BUG-0073).
  • Tombs of Amascut, Theatre of Blood and Fractured Archive: the boss warnings and hazards (marked tiles, poison clouds, blood and acid pools, mushrooms) are drawn on every tile they hurt, and a few missing boss graphics were fixed.
  • Zalcano: imbued tephra now throws from up to 10 tiles away instead of running at her, and the hand model clears when the last wielded tephra is used (BUG-0074).
  • Chambers of Xeric: the boss mechanics are drawn now (marked tiles, meteors, falling crystals, acid pools, the wall of fire, the Vasa crystals), the lizardman shamans and skeletal mystics use their own attack animations, and the Olm's claws sit on their drawn bodies with left and right the right way round.
  • Chambers of Xeric: the stone doors between chambers now work (click Enter; combat chambers stay shut until cleared), rooms are joined along straight walkable tunnels, and the chambers no longer let you or the monsters walk through walls.
  • Fractured Archive: the reward room now puts you on the round island (you used to appear in the void), and the chests and the exit rift stay where they are.
  • Fractured Archive: the Guardian laser, Ezekiel's swords and stars and the Smorks' cannonballs and napalm have their own graphics now, falling rubble and burning floors are drawn, and the Guardian batteries get their whole 2x2 body on free floor.
  • Tombs of Amascut: Zebak, Kephri, Ba-Ba, the obelisk and the Wardens now stay on their spot instead of walking around, and Zebak's roar marks one safe tile (the coordinates in the chat are gone).
  • Tombs of Amascut: the crystal after a boss fight now appears on a tile you can walk to, and the two final Wardens stand on the platform instead of over the black void.
  • Tombs of Amascut: Ba-Ba's boulders roll along marked lanes with one lane always left free, and Akkha, his shadows, the Wardens and the scarab swarms die with their own animation.
  • Monsters that hunt players (nightmare husks, lesser demons, zombie pirates and others) no longer vanish when they notice you.
  • Your pet gives you its Pick-up, Talk-to and other options again after you log back in.
  • A pet only reacts to its owner: other players cannot click it, and a pet item on the ground is only visible to its owner.
  • Chambers of Xeric: the party board now opens the full party window (My party / Make party): see the members, Join, Leave and Disband, then the leader starts the raid on the entrance steps and the whole party enters together.
  • Castle Wars: you now turn to face the bot you attack (the same in every minigame with bot fighters).
  • Castle Wars: the spawn room trapdoor now leads down instead of up.
  • Castle Wars: your team cape and hood can no longer be taken off during a game (they come back if lost) and are always removed when the game ends or you leave.

2026-10-30 (Update v0.3.2)

New content

  • Sailing boat combat: from Sailing 15 sea monsters now rise next to your boat while you sail between ports (terns and sharks up to krakens, narwhals and orcas in the high seas). Your cannons fire by themselves and sink them for Sailing XP, coins and drops like ray barbs, inky paint, narwhal horns and bottled storms. A stored boat can be bitten, but never sinks.
  • Sailing salvage: shipwrecks now give salvage (small, fishy, barracuda, large and more, by sea level). Use it on any shipwright to sort it for Sailing XP, coins and rare finds like a rusty locket, a boat bottle or a Sailors' amulet.
  • Sailing: wind motes can now drift into your sails at sea for bonus Sailing XP.
  • Construction: design your own house. In your house with build mode on, open House Options in the settings tab and press Viewer: add rooms for coins with the Room Creation Menu (each room has a Construction level and a price), then move, turn or delete them. A new house starts with one garden; houses you built before keep all their rooms.
  • Sailing bounties now fight the real sea monster: when you reach the hunting ground the monster rises and your cannons sink it; each kill is one catch (the kill loot comes on top).
  • Sailing crew: Crew Registrars at the ports let you hire crewmates (Jobless Jim, Adventurer Ada, Jittery Jim, Jolly Jim and more) once for a fee. Gunners hit harder, salvagers find more salvage, trawlers land bigger catches and lookouts see more sea events. A raft takes 1 crewmate, a skiff 2, a sloop 5.
  • Sailing sea events: castaways to rescue (xp and coins) and lost crates of wood (logs by sea level, from plain logs up to ironwood) now float by while you sail.
  • Fishing Trawler is a full minigame now: wait in the boat's waiting room (Murphy tops up swamp paste and rope, ask him any time), keep the trawler afloat, and your share of the catch lands in the trawler net on the pier. The stern net tears now and then (use a rope on it to mend it, Crafting xp), a kraken tentacle rises on the deck (chop it with an axe, Woodcutting xp) and smashes the rail if you let it (fix it with a hammer, Construction xp). Torn net or kraken means less fish. Your share depends on the crew, the contribution bar and your Fishing level (better fish higher up), with 0 to 2 pieces of junk and a chance at an angler outfit piece. Open the net on the pier for the Trawler Catch window: Take, Bank-all or Discard-all.

Changes

  • Construction: with Teleport inside switched off in House Options, Teleport to House (spell, tablet, cape) puts you outside next to the nearest house portal instead of inside.
  • Construction: the House Options panel works now (build mode, teleport and door settings, default build mode, leave house, call servant, room count). The exit portal in your garden leaves at once instead of showing a menu.

Bug fixes

  • Vet'ion and Calvar'ion no longer vanish when the skeleton hellhounds spawn at half health: they stay, fight on, and enrage with the greater hellhounds once the hounds die (same fix stops Vorkath disappearing at his first special attack).
  • Fishing Trawler: leaks matter now. They let in water three times faster and a bucket can only be emptied every 4 ticks, so you have to patch the leaks and not just bail.
  • Castle Wars: special attacks that hit several targets (halberd sweep, spec splash and chain hits, Obligator, cannon) no longer hit your own team.
  • Bank chests in the lobbies of the raids and minigames (Theatre of Blood, Colosseum, Barbarian Assault, Tzhaar, Soul Wars, Fortis and more) and several private bank booths now open the bank instead of saying nothing happens.
  • Zalcano: imbued tephra can now be thrown while wielded as well as carried; attacking her with it throws it (stand on a blue symbol for 50% more damage).
  • Construction: Teleport to House and the house portals work again (the room templates moved with the revision upgrade).
  • Construction: furniture that needs nails (chairs, tables and most early pieces) can be built with any kind of nails you carry; the cheapest kind is used first.
  • Construction: the outer corners of the house are walled, so you can no longer step off the edge into the void.
  • Fixes from a check of every game name used by the scripts: talking to the sleeping guard in Port Sarim, using the Cordelia pouch-repair dialogue, Client of Kourend's Shayzien shop and the Observatory Quest planks no longer kick you out; the Chambers of Xeric dragon hunter crossbow unique now drops, the Colosseum explosion totem no longer breaks, the Demonic Gorilla boulder sound can no longer remove the boss, and the His Faithful Servants icon sound, superheat and enchant ring animations work.
  • Falador hairdresser: the haircut and shave windows list all hairstyles and beards again (male and female), so you can pick a style and colour.
  • Runecrafting: blood essence charges and binding necklace charges no longer share saved data with the essence pouches and coal bag, so using one cannot change the other (charges you had stored are reset to empty).

2026-10-30 (Update v0.3.1)

New content

  • Bonus Weekend: every Friday 12:00 noon until Monday 12:00 noon US Eastern time, all skill XP is 1.5x on top of your XP mode (60 XP becomes 90 XP). Everyone online is told when it starts and ends, and you get a reminder when you log in during it. ::bonusweekend status shows when the next one starts and ends.
  • Doom of Mokhaiotl: every delve now pays loot. One roll on the full OSRS table per delve level (rune and ore supplies, seeds, Aether catalyst, Mokhaiotl waystone, demon tears and more, quantities grow with the delve level), plus an elite clue scroll chance. Mokhaiotl cloth (from delve 2), Eye of Ayak (3), Avernic treads (4) and the Dom pet (6) use the OSRS rates, 1.5x easier, and a missing unique is guaranteed after 3 duplicates. Demon tears from delve 3 stay as they were.

Changes

  • Chat: all coloured game messages (green, red, orange, yellow, raids, minigames) now get a black drop shadow so they are easier to read. Public chat, private messages and clan chat are unchanged.
  • Website highscores: new Boss kills tab with every boss and raid (kill counts and completions, with a total for all bosses and all raids), and boss and raid counts on each player page.
  • RuneLite hiscore lookups (and chat commands like !kc) now show PrivatePS highscores only, not the real OSRS ones. Needs the new client.

Bug fixes

  • Doom of Mokhaiotl: the boss's melee charge no longer takes the whole server down (players were disconnected as soon as the fight started); the fight runs normally again.
  • Raids (Tombs of Amascut, Theatre of Blood, Chambers of Xeric, Fractured Archive): your party now stays together after a raid, so you can start the next one without making a new party.
  • Chinchompas are used up when thrown; they no longer drop on the ground to be picked up and reused.
  • Castle Wars: Ancient Magic barrages and blitzes and chinchompa splash no longer hit your own team's fighters.
  • Hallowed Sepulchre: the inner holy barrier around the Grand Hallowed Coffin lets you out again.
  • Fractured Archive: the bank chest in the lobby opens your bank.

2026-10-30 (Update v0.3.0)

New content

  • The Minigames teleport button in the spellbook now works: it opens one list with every minigame, the four raids and the boss minigames, one click teleports (free, no cooldown).
  • New Gemstone Crab teleport in the teleport menu (Bosses) and in the Minigames list: you land next to the crab wherever it is.

Changes

  • Tombs of Amascut: the Crondis path starts in a crocodile pit and the Apmeken path in a baboon hall; clear them to reach the boss (the real puzzles are not in yet).
  • Tombs of Amascut: the raid now starts in the Nexus, where the party leader picks a path (Crondis, Het, Scabaras or Apmeken) in any order; the Wardens open after two paths.
  • Tombs of Amascut: the bosses have mechanics now. Zebak roars and makes blood clouds, Akkha changes style and withdraws behind shadows, Kephri hides behind a shield with scarab swarms and dung, Ba-Ba rolls boulders, drops rubble and calls baboons, and the Wardens have an obelisk, a covered core and a linked pair. Every danger is marked on the floor or told in chat first.
  • Tombs of Amascut: the raid level now switches on invocations (shorter warnings, faster bosses, heavier hazards, more helpers, earlier rage); read the invocation board in the lobby.
  • Theatre of Blood: the boss mechanics are in. The Maiden (blood pools, Nylocas healers, blood spawns), the Pestilent Bloat (walk and sleep cycle, flies, falling flesh), Nylocas (31 waves, pillars, Vasilias changes form), Sotetseg (death balls and the maze with a glowing path), Xarpus (mounds, facing and acid) and Verzik Vitur (pillars, then three real forms ending as the spider). Easier than the original and every room can be done alone.
  • The Fractured Archive: all eight boss rooms have their mechanics now. Archive Guardian (batteries hold its shield, mushrooms, laser), Ezekiel (falling swords, stars, a weakened window, a sword rain at the end), Bork and the Smorks (gong and daze, napalm, big cannon), Moia (shadow binders, poison cloud, teleport), Dreadnoth (slam, jelly tiles, healing jellies), the Dagon'hai Elder (monk shield, books, rifts and demons), Xarth (burning corpses, falling rubble) and Ocellus (beams and burning quarters, then portals, shadow slashes and obliteration). Easier than the original, every room can be done alone, and every danger is marked on the floor and in chat before it hits.
  • Chambers of Xeric: the bosses have their own mechanics now, always announced in chat and shown on the floor before they hurt: Tekton's anvil and meteors, Vasa's energy crystals, the linked Vanguards, Vespula's portal, the Muttadiles' meat trees, the Stone guardians' pickaxe, floor attacks of the mystics, shamans and the Great Olm (claws first, then the head); the Ice demon, Crabs, Thieving, Herb, Hunting and Tightrope chambers are small games that pay more points than walking through
  • All drop rates are 1.5x easier.
  • The staff gear sets (::giverangeset, ::givemeleeset, ::givemageset and the rotten potato) now come with full charges: Tumeken's shadow, Sanguinesti staff, Bow of Faerdhinen and a loaded Toxic blowpipe.

Bug fixes

  • Hotkeys: after using the report window the F-key tab hotkeys and Esc could stay dead for up to 10 minutes; the key lock now lasts a minute at most and is cleared at login.
  • Minigame guides: the guide window can be scrolled again, so long answers (Gauntlet, Hallowed Sepulchre and every other minigame guide) are no longer cut off; long quest journals scroll too.
  • Grouping tab: the Join / Leave button on the chat rows works again (the activity chats exist now), and the Teleport buttons work; Grouping teleports have no cooldown.
  • Report window: a Submit that cannot be sent now (for example a second report within 10 seconds) is explained in the chat as well as in the window, a report can no longer be lost when a window is opened over another, and a failed Submit always leaves the window closable.
  • Magic: you can pick an autocast spell again. The Spell and Defensive Spell buttons in the combat tab open the spell list (Kodai wand and every other staff or wand); choosing a melee style turns autocast off.
  • Tumeken's shadow: charging it no longer logs you out or eats your runes; if anything goes wrong the runes are returned. Using soul or chaos runes on the shadow now also works, and many other 'use item on item' recipes that silently did nothing now work.
  • Varrock Church: Jeremy Clerksin and Martina Scorsby stay on their chairs instead of wandering around
  • Teleport menu: the TzHaar Fight Pit teleport now lands outside the arena, next to TzHaar-Mej-Kah
  • Brimhaven Agility Arena: the right-click Pay option on Cap'n Izzy No-Beard now pays the entry fee straight away
  • Tears of Guthix: collecting from a weeping wall now plays the bowl-leaning animation instead of the wall's own animation
  • Tombs of Amascut: when the whole party dies at the same moment the room now resets once and everybody is back inside (before, the second respawn counted as another wipe and could throw the leader out of the raid).
  • Doom of Mokhaiotl: entering the burrow no longer freezes the whole server for minutes (and kicks the player) as soon as the fight starts; the boss fight, the loot window and leaving run normally, and the debug lines the loot roll printed in your chat are gone.
  • Hallowed Sepulchre: the stepping stones on floors 2 and 5 can be clicked one after the other and carry you on after the last stone; the strange tiles on floor 4 glow for two ticks before they push you back; with a full pack the final chest sends marks and loot to your bank instead of dropping them out of reach.
  • Tempoross: the arena works again after the revision 241 upgrade (the dock, masts, totems and fishing spots were in the wrong place, so you landed in open sea).
  • Pest Control: bot helpers no longer attack back on their own, which stopped an error when a Shifter died.

2026-10-29 (Update v0.2.1)

Bug fixes

  • Raids: the Tombs of Amascut teleport now lands in the desert at the pyramid, the pyramid door leads down to the lobby, and the Great Olm in Chambers of Xeric is visible again; the rope in his south chamber climbs back up
  • Raids: the party board buttons (My Party / Make party, Refresh, Back, the party rows) now work in the Theatre of Blood, Tombs of Amascut, Fractured Archive and Chambers of Xeric, and the reward chest windows now show the loot.

2026-10-28 (Update v0.2.0)

New content

  • Early version: the Chambers of Xeric, the Theatre of Blood, the Tombs of Amascut and the Fractured Archive are open to everyone (the Fractured Archive lobby is reached with the Archivist's folio, or ask a staff member). Make a party at the board (solo is fine), enter, fight through the rooms and open your chest at the end; a unique you already own drops less often, and after 3 duplicates in a row a missing one is guaranteed. Phase 1 only: not every mechanic is there yet and loot and balance may change.
  • Sailing: you now sail your own boat. Talk to Sam at Port Sarim, pick a boat in the boat window, take the helm and click the water to sail. The old raft trial is replaced by these boats.
  • The Fractured Archive items work as items (you can win them in the Fractured Archive raid): Ascension crossbows with ascension bolts (diamond armour piercing and onyx life leech, enchantable, fletchable from ascension shards), Obligator (thrust hits up to three targets, Smash style) and Zorya's tome with its Zorya's Flow special (both chargeable), Rondache with its charges and Shield Slam, the Living record capes with Change-style, the elemental fragments (Break gives +2 max hit to that element's spells), Archivist's folio, Leftovers, Horn of Bran and the Archive key. Not yet: the folio teleport and the Zeal prayer.
  • The eight Fractured Archive pets (Orion, Xari, Archie, Chubbles, Cole, Zeke, Mimi, Dork) follow, can be picked up, talked to and emoted like the other boss pets.

2026-10-28 (Update v0.1.0)

  • Quest: The Hand in the Sand is playable (talk to Bert in Yanille): Zavistic Rarve, Betty's truth serum, Sandy in Brimhaven and Mazion on Entrana. Rewards: 1,000 Thieving and 9,000 Crafting xp.
  • Quest: Client of Kourend is playable (talk to Veos in Port Piscarilius after X Marks the Spot): five shop owners, the orb at the Dark Altar. Rewards: two 500 xp lamps and Kharedst's memoirs.

The mine rooms are linked by ladders and the lift so the cart puzzles are not needed.
  • Sailing level-ups now tell you what the new level unlocks (for example boat parts) right under the congratulations line.

Changes

  • Sailing now has its own place on the website highscores (skill picker, player pages) and counts in the launcher total level: a maxed account is 2376 (24 skills).
  • Minigame fighters have different play styles and reactions: teammates regroup, LMS opponents loot chests and escape the fog, and Castle Wars defenders patrol and escort flag carriers. Each fighter has its own skill (veterans react quickly, novices slowly), makes the occasional late move, and is briefly slower to react when attacked from behind, frozen or hit by a special.

Bug fixes

  • Barrows: a finished run (chest looted) now resets as soon as you leave the crypt, however you leave, so the brothers, doors and chest work again on the next run; the collapse screen shake stops when you leave the crypt and when you log in; brothers no longer come out of the doors after the chest is looted.
  • The front door of the Grand Tree opens again: the doors swing open for a moment and you walk through (it said nothing interesting happens).
  • Auto-retaliate no longer pulls you away from the target you chose yourself while that target is still alive, also when a second attacker hits you in a multi-combat area.
  • Castle Wars: the waiting room now shows the stock countdown window as well as the banner; everybody (players and bots) gets the team cape and hood at the start; own capes, hoods and helmets are refused at the portals; bots carrying a standard show it in their hand and the standard leaves its stand when taken.
  • Castle Wars: players of the two teams can attack each other (no Wilderness needed), your own team can never be attacked.
  • Follower pets no longer block monsters: a pet standing in a gap is not a safespot any more, monsters walk through it.
  • Shipwright Sam's "Sailing guide" now opens the Skill Guide window where you can see it (it used to open out of view).
  • Leaving the Sea Trial raft with Escape always puts you on open dock ground with a way out (a blocked or boxed-in landing tile is replaced by the nearest free one).

2026-10-27 (live-20261027-2243)

Bug fixes

  • Mouse wheel zoom now also works on characters that still carry the old camera setting: it is cleared when you log in, before your settings are sent.
  • The red destination flag on the minimap shows again when you walk or click somewhere (the old message type was not understood by the new game version).
  • The system update countdown message uses the message type of the new game version.

2026-10-27 (live-20261027-2146)

Changes

  • Mouse wheel zoom now also works on existing characters (an old camera setting from the previous version was blocking it).

2026-10-27 (live-20261027-2056)

New content

  • Client update required: yes
  • Big update: PrivatePS moves to Old School revision 241. Everyone must restart the PrivatePS launcher once and let it update the game (about 1 GB, a few minutes). The old game client can no longer log in. Your characters, items, bank and progress are kept.
  • The new Sailing skill has its slot in the stats tab (24 skills now, the total level counts it). First slice: talk to Shipwright Sam at the Port Sarim docks, take the Sea Trial raft out to the Bay of Sarim and sail to the four buoys for Sailing experience (the real boats come later). The skill guide for Sailing opens from the stats tab.
  • New teleport: The Fractured Archive (raids category). The raid itself is not built yet.
  • Newer client with all revision 241 features: the new music tab, the new skill guides window, a newer RuneLite (1.13) and a newer 117 HD.

Changes

  • The teleport window is now the original quest guide style window: ::teleports, the hub NPC and the rotten carrot open a list of 10 categories, each with a Back line, plus Favourites and Recent.
  • Tithe Farm: Farmer Gricoll's rewards are a plain points shop now (outfit, seed box, herb sack, Gricoller's can, compost, supercompost, grape seeds, herb box).
  • Skill guides use the original window (floating, works in fixed, resizable and modern screen); the Close button and Escape work. The music tab plays the row you click and has the new Area / Shuffle / Single modes.
  • The bank still holds 4000 items in the window (the extra 2000 slots you can buy from a banker follow in a later update).
  • The mouse wheel zoom works again on the new client. Error dialogs of the client now have a Discord button that opens our invite.
  • Spiral staircases work everywhere again.
  • Minigame bots now play their role like players do. Castle Wars: bots start in their spawn room, walk out through the real doors, stairs and ladders, take the enemy standard from its stand, carry it home the same way and score; defenders guard their own stand and hunt anybody who steals it, and hungry bots fetch bandages from the table. Pest Control: the bot knights hold lanes between the Void Knight and the portals, kill the pests that hit the knight first, shoot splatters from a distance and a few stay close to you (they still never go near or attack a portal).

2026-10-24 (live-20261024-1014)

New content

  • Nightmare Zone is now much closer to the original: Dominic offers Rumble (2,000 / hard 6,000 coins), Endurance (1,000 / 5,000: every boss one after the other, weakest first) and Practice (free, one boss of your choice, no points), with all 50 bosses of the wiki, including the multi-form fights (Witch's experiment, Nazastarool, Damis) and the Dagannoth and Gelatinnoth mothers. Previous dream repeats your last dream.
  • Nightmare Zone Rumble has the four power-ups: Zapper (purple), Recurrent damage (red), Power surge (yellow) and Ultimate force (white) appear on the arena floor now and then and fade after a minute; click one to use it.
  • The Nightmare Zone rewards chest opens the real Nightmare Zone Rewards window (Resources, Upgrades and Benefits tabs: Buy-1/5/10/50/X, Imbue, reward points on screen) instead of menus, with the wiki prices; the herb box works (seven herbs: Take-one, Bank-all, Check). The Nightmare Zone lobby now shows the stock coffer and dream box on screen.
  • Wintertodt: your rewards now wait in the reward cart in the camp (up to 8,000). Search it for one reward, Big-search for five, Check to see how many are waiting. What you find depends on your skill levels when you search, and coins now pay 2,000 to 4,999.
  • Wintertodt: Ignisia swaps 100 burnt pages for an empty Tome of fire, and you can use burnt pages on the tome to charge it (20 charges a page). Use the Pages option to take them out again.
  • Last Man Standing is open in the Ferox Enclave: talk to Lisa (Join) and fight up to 19 bots in a 20 player free-for-all on Desert Island or in Wild Varrock, with a kit, chests, a closing fog and a reward shop (Justine) for your points. You are never alone in the queue, nothing you own is at risk, and bots can be set to Medium or Hard for more points.
  • Clan Wars is open in the Ferox Enclave: walk into the white portal for a free-for-all (safe or dangerous pit) or a purple portal for a 7 against 7 war, with 13 bots filling the match, rules to pick (last team standing, first to 10/25/50 kills, most kills in 5 or 10 minutes), coin prizes, and Ferox (the hub chief) to explain it
  • Barbarian Assault is open at the Barbarian Outpost (teleport window > Minigames): climb down the ladder, pick a wave room and a role (Attacker, Defender, Collector or Healer) and fight the penance in waves 1 to 10 up to the Penance Queen. Bots play the other roles so you can always play alone (Medium and Hard bots pay more), the calls are forgiving, and Captain Cain explains it. Earn role points for role levels, penance hats, gloves, boots, the Fighter torso and skirt, and honour points for the gambles at Commander Connad.
  • Castle Wars is open (teleports > Minigames, or the lobby east of Castle Wars): walk into a portal (blue Saradomin, red Zamorak, green the smaller team) and half a minute later you play 10 against 10 - bots fill both teams, real players replace bots, so you are never alone. Take the enemy standard from the top of its castle and bring it to yours, use bandages, barricades and your catapult, and win tickets for the Ticket Exchange (Lanthus > Trade, the stock shop window, prices 25% lower than Old School). Bots can be set to Medium or Hard for more tickets. Not built: underground tunnels, rock mining, explosive potions and the catapult window.
  • Emir's Arena (the Duel Arena) is open: challenge another player in the lobby (stake screen, rules screen, confirm screen), fight on one of four floors with rules like No Melee, No Prayer or No Food, and wake up at the hospital if you lose. You can also duel a bot alone: talk to Mubariz, choose Challenge a bot (Easy by default, Medium pays 25% more and Hard 60% more duel points and Hitpoints xp, no stakes). The Duel Guide in the lobby explains it all. The teleport window lists Emir's Arena under Minigames.
  • Last Man Standing is open in the Ferox Enclave: talk to Lisa (Join) and fight up to 19 bots in a 20 player free-for-all on Desert Island or in Wild Varrock, with your own load-out from the supply chest, loot chests, a closing fog shown on the screen and minimap, the build window (Settings in the top left box) and the stock reward window of Justine for your points. You are never alone in the queue, nothing you own is at risk, and bots can be set to Medium or Hard for more points.
  • New Discord channel #player-commands lists every command you can use in game and on Discord, and updates itself when commands are added.
  • Pest Control now sails with friendly bot knights: every boat is filled up to 20 fighters and real players take the place of a bot, so even alone you have a full crew. The bots wear gear that fits the boat, fight the pests and guard the Void Knight, and never touch the portals (breaking them stays your job). Ask the squire for "Bot helpers" to pick Easy (normal points), Medium (25% more points, more pests) or Hard (60% more points, many more pests, the bots pray).

Changes

  • Zalcano is much closer to the original: the boss bar at the top shows her stone shield in blue while you break it with imbued tephra and her 300 hitpoints once she has fallen, a warning comes before she rises, and her shockwave then destroys the imbued tephra you carry. Her shield grows with the players in the lair (100 alone, 300 from five players) so you can still fight her alone.
  • Zalcano now fights back during the shield phase, slower and weaker than the original: falling rocks (step off your tile), demonic symbols (stand on a blue one to throw 50% harder, keep off the orange ones that burn and drain run energy), an energy ball that blows up the glowing rock (a new one lights up), a golem that walks to her and repairs her shield unless you hit it with imbued tephra (it drops 16 to 24 more) and unavoidable pebbles. Dying in the lair is still safe. You now need 70 Smithing to refine tephra and the plain rocks give tephra slowly.
  • Zalcano rewards follow the wiki: your points (damage to her health plus twice the damage to her shield) size your resource roll, the player with the most points is the MVP (10% more loot, 3 crystal shards, infernal ashes), 31 damage in total also rolls the Zalcano shard, crystal tool seed, uncut onyx (better than the original) and the Smolcano pet. Rhiannon has a new option Change my rewards to take Mining experience instead of resources. The Zalcano guide was rewritten.
  • Nightmare Zone potions (overload, absorption, super ranging, super magic) can now be drunk inside a dream (and only there); absorption can be drunk one dose per tick, and the dream wipes overload and absorption when you wake up. The rock cake has Guzzle (1 damage, never below 1 hitpoint, ignores absorption). The barrels have Check, Take and Store.
  • The Nightmare Zone guide was rewritten for the new dreams, power-ups, potions, shop and what is different from the original.
  • Pest Control: the number of pests now follows the number of fighters on the island (a bot counts as half a player), so a full boat meets a real horde while the portals keep their hitpoints for the real players; the Pest Control guide has a new topic about the bot knights.
  • Tempoross now has the storm: Tempoross swims between the ships, a chat warning comes before every wave (tether to a mast or totem pole with a rope or your buckets spill), waves can damage a pole (repair with a hammer, 40 points), lightning starts fires on the decks (Douse with a bucket of water, 40 points) and the storm bar fills faster while fires burn.
  • Tempoross phases: when the energy is gone the boss dives and the spirit pool appears; if you are too slow it regains its energy and rises again, up to three times, then it is enraged and the round is lost. Essence you removed stays removed.
  • Tempoross reward pool: Net spends one permit, Big-search five, Check shows your permits. The rewards follow the wiki tables (noted fish for your Fishing level, big harpoonfish, fish barrel, tackle box, tome of water, soaked pages).
  • Tempoross: use soaked pages on a Tome of water to charge it (20 charges a page, Check and Pages options); the retired sailor swaps 100 soaked pages for an empty tome. The Tempoross guide was rewritten.
  • Wintertodt now has a warmth meter like the original: the cold, the snow and the exploding braziers take warmth instead of hitpoints. Food that heals 4 or more gives 35% warmth, a dose of rejuvenation potion 30%, warm clothes make the cold softer and warmth come back faster. At 0% you freeze to death (safe: you wake up at the camp).
  • Wintertodt attacks are visible now: snow gathers over a brazier or around you before it lands, the Wintertodt's storm in the middle howls while it is awake, and the regular status chat message is gone (the box shows it).
  • Wintertodt: a lone round is 6 inventories of kindling (about 12 minutes) with a 20 minute limit. Older notes that said 15 inventories and 45 minutes were replaced by this.
  • Wintertodt guide updated: warmth, the reward cart, Ignisia and the Tome of fire.
  • Guardians of the Rift: essence pouches work inside the round (Fill / Empty / Check). Pouches filled with guardian essence never decay, and the portals take essence out of your pouches by themselves when your inventory is empty.
  • Guardians of the Rift: use a chisel on a charged cell to shape a rift guardian (energy 6 / 15 / 27 / 45 and Runecraft xp by cell tier, up to 10 stand at once); the first two portal pairs are always medium tier or better and never need more Runecraft than the weakest player has; a portal can leave a talisman; the energy of one game is capped at 1,500.
  • Guardians of the Rift: points are now kept on your character and spent at Apprentice Felix's rewards desk (talk to him): Search, Big-search (5), Check, and 25 abyssal pearls for one extra roll; a plain needle on Felix gives a new abyssal needle; new pouches come with pure essence and intricate pouches can be opened.
  • Abyssal lantern: light it with six logs and a tinderbox (Firemaking level of the log) and use Extinguish to put it out; willow and magic logs give extra runes, normal and maple logs more portal talismans, oak and yew extra energy, blisterwood more blood runes.
  • The Fill, Empty and Check options of the essence pouches were swapped for the Empty and Check clicks; they now follow the item options.
  • Guardians of the Rift guide rewritten for the new pouches, guardians and rewards desk.
  • Staff have a new Ctrl+H shortcut that gets them out of a stuck situation (needs the new client package).
  • During the test phase the in-game Report button has no waiting time and no daily limit.
  • Minigame bots now look like players: they wear the gear of their level and game (rune, dragon, mystic and so on), show a normal player name and combat level, and fight with the animations of their weapon. Click one to attack it like any other fighter.
  • The minigame wait countdown above the chatbox is cyan now instead of yellow (needs the new cache in the client package).

2026-10-23 (live-20261023-2031)

New content

  • New minigame: Rogues' Den, under the trapdoor of the Toad and Chicken inn in Burthorpe (also in the teleport window, Minigames). With 50 Agility and 50 Thieving, walk the trap maze with nothing in your pack, dodge the rogue guards (flash powder blinds them) and crack a wall safe at the end for a rogue kit or a rogue's equipment crate. Brian O'Richard explains it, Martin Thwait sells the tools, and four wall safes in the hall pay gems and coins from 50 Thieving.
  • Tears of Guthix is open: go down the tunnel in the Lumbridge Swamp caves (or use the teleport menu), right-click Juna and choose Story (Firemaking 49, Crafting 20, Mining 20), then collect from the blue weeping walls and avoid the green ones; when the time runs out you drink and the tears give experience in your lowest skill. A round lasts 1.5 minutes plus 2 ticks per quest point and you can play again after 30 minutes (Old School: one tick per quest point and a week). A monk on the walkway explains it.
  • Blast Mine (Lovakengj, north of the town): excavate a hard rock with a chisel, load dynamite, light the fuse and run, pick up the blasted ore, deposit it in an ore sack and collect noted ore and Mining xp from the operator. Needs Mining 43, a chisel, a tinderbox and dynamite (Thirus Urkar sells it). Blasted ore stays 5 minutes, the operator pays 10% extra ore, and the operator explains it all (Talk-to).
  • Temple Trekking is open at Burgh de Rott (Minigames teleport list, ::tt go): choose one of the six followers (Escort), pick route 1, 2 or 3 and lead them through the swamp. Monsters go for your follower, a broken bridge and a river block the way, Abidor Crank heals you, route 3 ends with the Head and Tentacles. You get a reward token: more points give more pure essence, bow strings, silver bars, herbs, ore, watermelon seeds, raw lobsters or an experience tome. Dying costs you nothing.
  • New minigame: Hallowed Sepulchre in Darkmeyer (Agility 52 and up, floors 2 to 5 need 62, 72, 77 and 87). Enter through the gate in the Darkmeyer wall or with the Minigames teleport. All five floors are open: statues that breathe flame, shoot bolts and throw swords, strange tiles that teleport you, priest statues that stun you, obelisks and stairs between the floors, and coffins behind a bridge, pillar, brazier or portal (the Grand coffin on floor 5). Coffins give Hallowed marks, loot and the Strange old lockpick for the Barrows doors. The Mysterious Stranger explains it all and sells the tokens, crystal shards, ring, dyes and tools for marks.
  • Sorceress's Garden (Al Kharid): the Sorceress's apprentice (house north-east of Shantay Pass) explains it and teleports you in. Four seasonal gardens (Thieving 1, 25, 45, 65) with elementals that throw you out when they see you; pick one sq'irk fruit or two herbs per trip for Farming xp, crush fruit into sq'irkjuice (5, 4, 3 or 2 sq'irks and a beer glass), drink it for a Thieving boost and run energy or give it to Osman for Thieving xp. No quest needed. The grouping-tab entry needs a client/cache update.
  • Blast Furnace is open to everyone: take the stairs in the factory building in north-east Keldagrim (or use the Minigames teleport). Below Smithing 60 right-click the Foreman and choose Pay (2,500 coins for ten minutes, half with a Ring of charos (a)); at Smithing 60 it is free. Put ore on the belt and the five dwarves pedal, pump and stoke while your coffer pays (about 72,000 coins an hour). Or run it yourself for free: pedals (Agility 20), pump (Strength 20) and coke from the pile shovelled into the stove (Firemaking 20), and train those skills while you smelt. The gauge shows the heat, the melting pot lists what is on the belt, and the dwarves have something to say.

Changes

  • Fortis Colosseum, much closer to OSRS: before every wave you pick one of three random handicaps (Bees, Blasphemy, Doom, Dynamic Duo, Frailty, Mantimayhem, Myopia, Reentry, Red Flag, Relentless, Solarflare, Quartet, Totemic, Volatility) or none; they stack up in level and pay glory.
  • Fortis Colosseum: every wave earns glory (completion, no-damage bonus, handicaps, speed) and your reward in sunfire splinters now depends on it; your best glory is kept and shows your rank (Brawler to Grand Champion). After each wave a menu asks to continue or leave with the loot.
  • Fortis Colosseum: Sol Heredit now fights like the real one: spear and shield dust attacks you step out of, a triple attack for Protect from Melee, a grapple that grabs a piece of your gear (take it off in time), light beams and a crystal sphere per phase (90/75/50/25%) and an enrage at 10%. Everything is a bit easier than OSRS; the colosseum guide explains it.
  • Pest Control is much closer to Old School: the Void Knight stands in the middle of the island (his health shows in the overlay, a lost knight loses the game, each destroyed portal heals him 50), all four portals start behind a shield that drops one by one in the first 1:45, and the portals now send out all seven pests in the Old School mix: splatters that burst next to you, defilers and torchers that shoot and cast from range, spinners that heal their portal, brawlers, shifters and ravagers. The matching protection prayer stops every pest. A win also pays 10 coins per combat level, the squire has a Leave option and will not let you board with 4,000 points, and players left behind on a full lander go first next time. Solo is still fully playable, with fewer pests and a gentler knight.
  • The teleport wizard's Minigames list now has every minigame teleport, and the staff rotten carrot's left click opens the same wizard lists.
  • Rogue outfit (mask, top, trousers, gloves, boots): every worn piece gives a 15 percent chance of double loot when you pickpocket, the full set always does.
  • High and Low Level Alchemy now ask for confirmation first, following your own setting (All Settings > Warnings > Items): items worth at least your chosen value (default 10,000 coins, 0 turns it off) and untradeable items.

2026-10-22 (live-20261022-2316)

Changes

  • The TzHaar ore and gem shops no longer sell uncut onyx for coins.
  • Spell teleports no longer give Magic xp while teleports are free (no runes needed); making tablets and directing portals still gives xp.
  • New characters really start running: the run default now also sets the active movement, not only the run setting.

2026-10-22 (live-20261022-2229)

Changes

  • Grand Exchange: about 800 more items can be traded: poisoned and basic ammo, food, low-tier armour and robes (including infinity, mystic and Xerician), dragon melee gear at level 60, gem jewellery, hunter outfits, city teleport tablets, chinchompas, super defence and flatpack furniture up to teak. Harder-to-get items (bosses, raids, Barrows, God Wars, rares) stay off the Grand Exchange.
  • New characters get a bigger starter pack: 500,000 coins, iron armour and scimitar, an amulet of glory (4), a shortbow with 500 bronze arrows, 1,000 air and mind runes, 500 fire, water and earth runes, a bronze pickaxe and axe, a tinderbox and 50 noted manta rays.
  • Pest Control: the portals no longer attack or follow you, pests now really fight back while you hit a portal, and ranged and magic break the portals about as fast as melee (the twisted bow works on portals again).
  • Pest Control: more pests per wave and clearly busier on each boat (Novice a little, Intermediate more, Veteran most); a solo player faces about 60% of the full number, a full team of 5 faces all of it.
  • Grand Exchange: skilling supplies above level 65 (for example magic logs, adamant and rune ore and bars, sharks) can no longer be bought, you earn those yourself. Seeds and saplings stay available. Tools, weapons and armour up to and including rune can all be traded.
  • Minigame guide npcs now show each answer in the quest-journal style text window with a scrollbar, instead of short chat boxes; close it to get the question menu back.
  • Clicking a skill in the stats tab opens the Old School Skill Guide again (what each level unlocks), and a short beginner tip for that skill appears in the chat.
  • Bones can be used on an altar (for example the Lumbridge church altar) for Prayer xp: one bone every few ticks while you have bones left, with the usual offering animation; an ordinary altar gives 1.5x the Prayer xp of burying the bone and a gilded altar gives its usual 3.5x on top of that (plus 50% per lit incense burner).
  • Home teleports (Home, Edgeville, Lunar and Arceuus home, Arceuus respawn) never give Magic xp; spell teleports give their Old School xp (Varrock Teleport 35) and tablets, jewellery and the teleport window give none.
  • Minigame waits now show a yellow countdown above the chatbox (for example "Pest Control starts in 1:23") in Pest Control, Guardians of the Rift, Wintertodt, Tempoross, Fishing Trawler and between Fortis Colosseum waves; it hides while a server update countdown is running.
  • Rooftop agility courses are kinder: the chance to fall is about half (6% at the level of the course, and it is gone 15 levels above it) and a fall does about half the damage.
  • The quest journal is back to the original Old School pages when you click a quest in the quest list (the parchment scroll is switched off).
  • Pets are much easier to get: boss and minigame pets are never rarer than 1 in 800 (pets that were already 1 in 800 or better are unchanged), and skilling pets (heron, rock golem, beaver) are never rarer than 1 in 5000.
  • Pyramid Plunder is open: right-click the guardian mummy inside Jalsavrah (Sophanem) and choose Start-minigame, plunder the eight rooms in five minutes for Thieving xp and artefacts (Simon Templeton buys them); mistakes only cost hit points, never progress.
  • Monsters that are aggressive in Old School (for example dark wizards and skeletons) attack you on sight again, unless you are much stronger than them (only up to combat level 150 for now).
  • Townspeople and monsters now wander at most 3 tiles from their spot (was 5), and bankers, shopkeepers, grand exchange clerks, slayer masters, guides and tutors stand still.
  • New characters start with the XP counter (the XP bubble next to the minimap) switched on.
  • Combat experience (Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic and Prayer) is now three times as high as your XP mode gives; every other skill is unchanged.
  • A level-up now prints the usual chat line: "Congratulations, you've just advanced a Woodcutting level. You have now reached level N."
  • Guardians of the Rift: a lone game now takes about 11 to 14 minutes (the Great Guardian needs 140 stones per player, was 60) and a full fair share of the work gives about 5 reward searches, whatever the group size (2 to 25 players).
  • Guardians of the Rift: the round can now be lost. The barrier, abyssal creatures, cells, rift guardians and the leaking of the Great Guardian's power are on, tuned so one player doing a fair share wins easily; one portal pair is open for 60 seconds about every 2 minutes; pets come at 1 in 800 searches and the runes, pouches and abyssal pearls are a bit better than in Old School.
  • The "Teleport" button of the Grouping tab (Chat-channel tab) works for every activity from the start, no unlocks needed; it takes you to the activity's Old School location.
  • Ring of recoil, ring of suffering (r), ring of life, phoenix necklace and the Defence cape now work like in Old School RuneScape: recoil sends part of the damage back (a ring of recoil breaks after 40 damage; use one on a ring of suffering for 40 charges), the phoenix necklace heals you and the ring of life or an enabled Defence cape teleports you away when your hitpoints get very low, and Dharok with an amulet of the damned can recoil. The Retribution prayer now hurts the attacker next to you when you die.
  • Slayer helmets, black masks and the Slayer staff (e) now boost your accuracy and damage against your current Slayer task (superior monsters count too), and they do not stack with the Salve amulet. Revenant weapons and the Amulet of avarice now only work in the Wilderness (including the Revenant Caves). Vampyres now take their bonuses: Ivandis flail, Blisterwood sickle and flail, silver weapons and silver bolts, and Efaritay's aid.
  • Tempoross: the hammer, rope and bucket crates on the ships work (buckets by 1, 5, 10 or X), the water pumps fill your buckets, the spirit angler hands out a fishing net (Take-net), the bronze pickaxe on the mining ramp can be taken (Strength 5) and the bank chest in the lobby opens.
  • Fishing Trawler: the boxes on the top deck of the ship give bronze axes, hammers and bailing buckets.
  • Blast Furnace: the sink fills your buckets with water, so you can cool the bars.
  • Tithe Farm: use a watering can on one of the water barrels to refill it.
  • Guardians of the Rift: you can pick up the chisel, the weak cell table gives a weak cell (or a chisel) and the uncharged cell table gives 10 or 1 cell as its options say.
  • Tempoross: the real Tempoross box (energy, essence, storm intensity and your points) is shown on the ships, and a box at the camp shows the players ready and the next departure; the chat updates are gone.
  • Guardians of the Rift: the real box in the top left (Guardian's power, your elemental and catalytic energy, the open portals, the portal clock and the guardian count) replaces the chat updates.
  • Fishing Trawler: the real box at the top of the screen (water, your contribution, net, catch and time left) is shown while you are on the trawler; the chat updates are gone.
  • Tithe Farm: the real box shows the fruit in your sack, the fruit type and your Tithe Farm points while you are on the farm.
  • Blast Furnace: the coffer box (the coins in your coffer) is shown while you are in the furnace room.
  • Wintertodt: while it waits to wake up or after a round, the box says "The Wintertodt returns in" with a countdown.
  • Pest Control: the Void Knights' reward window is the real Old School one now (experience in all seven combat skills, herb, mineral and seed packs, the Void Knight gear and the Void seal); click "Exchange" on the Void Knight. The Elite Void upgrade stays in his chat menu. The game box also shows your activity bar.

Bug fixes

  • The speaker button on the start screen now keeps its choice after you log out: with the sound off, the login screen stays silent after a logout and the speaker still shows off.
  • Typing in the bug report window no longer also types in the game chat (when the "press enter to chat" setting is off).
  • Guardians of the Rift: a lone game now takes about 12 minutes (the Great Guardian needs 200 stones per player, was 60) and a full fair share of the work gives about 5 reward searches, whatever the group size (2 to 25 players).
  • The "Teleport" button of the Grouping tab (Chat-channel tab) works for every activity from the start, no unlocks needed; it takes you to the activity's Old School location.
  • New minigame: Giants' Foundry (Smithing 15, grouping tab teleport or the cave at Giants' Plateau): Kovac gives you a commission, you set a mould, fill the crucible with bars or smithed gear, pour it, then hammer, grind and polish the blade at the machines (heat it in the lava, cool it at the waterfall) and hand it in for Smithing xp, coins and Foundry Reputation. Spend the reputation on better moulds, the smiths' outfit and more. A mistake never ruins your blade, and it waits in the preform storage when you leave.
  • Giants' Foundry now uses the real Old School screens: the mould setup screen at the mould jig and the reward shop with Kovac (use a reward item on him to sell it back for 80%), and the heat zones and the order of the machines on the HUD are the ones you work to.
  • Mage Training Arena (north of the Duel Arena, also in the Grouping tab): the Telekinetic Theatre, Alchemists' Playground, Enchanting Chamber and Creature Graveyard earn pizazz points and Magic xp; the Rewards Guardian upstairs sells the Infinity robes, wands, Mage's book, a rune pouch, runes and the Bones to Peaches spell (which is now locked until bought). Mistakes never reset your progress here. The Entrance Guardian explains everything.
  • Mage Training Arena now uses the real Old School screens: every room shows its own points box (the alchemy values and the free item, the bonus shape, the mazes solved), the entrance hall shows all four balances, and the Rewards Guardian's Trade-with opens the original shop window (pick a reward, choose 1 / 5 / 10 / all, Confirm).
  • Clicking a song in the music tab plays that song (hidden tracks no longer shift the list, so every click after the first hidden track used to start the wrong song).
  • The quest complete scroll shows the XP you really get (for example 4500 Cooking XP on Adventurer 15x for Cook's Assistant), not the base value.
  • Spam-clicking a tree no longer fills the chat with "You swing your axe at the tree." (at most once every 12 seconds).

  • Spam-clicking a tree no longer fills the chat with "You swing your axe at the tree." (at most once every 12 seconds).

2026-10-22 (live-20261022-1306)

Changes

  • Pest Control is easier on the lower boats: the Novice portals have no defence and 20% less health, the Intermediate portals have half of the normal defence and 20% less health, the Veteran portals are as in Old School.
  • Pest Control points: Novice 2 per portal and 4 extra when all portals fall, Intermediate 4 and 8, Veteran 6 and 10. The number of players no longer changes the points.

Bug fixes

  • Wintertodt no longer falls after one inventory of fletching: a lone player now needs about 6 inventories of kindling to subdue it, which takes roughly 12 minutes. A round can now last up to 20 minutes (it was 8). Your points are scaled to your share of the round, so a full share shows about 2000 points, which is about 5 reward rolls (500 points = 2 rolls, then one more roll for every 500 points), whatever the number of players.
  • Using an item on another item while you are busy with an action (for example fletching in Wintertodt) no longer throws a server error and cuts your input; the click is ignored.
  • Wintertodt no longer falls after one inventory of fletching: a lone player now needs about 15 inventories of kindling to subdue it. A round can now last up to 45 minutes (it was 8).
  • The start picture no longer flashes up again every time you teleport or the map loads.

2026-10-22 (live-20261022-1033)

Changes

  • All spellbook teleports (standard, Ancient, Lunar, Arceuus) can be cast from the start of the game with no runes, no Magic level, no quest and no banana. The cast delay and the Wilderness and tele-block rules stay.
  • The teleport spells are also shown in full colour in the spellbook, as if you had the runes and the level.
  • The teleport wizard (Wizard Frumscone) now stands at tile 3232,3216 in Lumbridge and does not walk around.

Bug fixes

  • The start screen with Play now comes back after you log out or lose the connection, instead of the old login screen.
  • The speaker button on the start screen now really switches the music off and on.

2026-10-21 (live-20261021-2352)

Changes

  • The "What's New" and Play screen no longer opens after you click Start your Adventure: you go straight into the game.
  • "Split friends private chat" is switched on for everybody (you can still switch it off in the settings).
  • A small speaker at the bottom right of the start screen switches the sound on or off. The game still starts silent; click it to turn the sound on. Your choice is remembered on this PC.
  • Home Teleport, a new character's spawn point and your respawn after death are Lumbridge again.
  • All spellbook teleports work for everybody, without the quest requirement.
  • New characters start with Run switched on.
  • New characters start with skull prevention on and both attack options (NPCs and players) on "Depends on combat level".
  • The name "help" can no longer be used for a character.
  • Character names need at least 3 characters (3 to 12) when you create a character, register, or change your name.
  • The teleport wizard now stands at Lumbridge next to Hans, and "Grand Exchange" is the first city on his list.

Bug fixes

  • New characters made in the launcher always start with Adventurer XP (15x), also with an older launcher.

2026-10-21 (live-20261021-1907)

New content

  • You can change from a Hardcore Ironman, Ultimate Ironman or Ironman to a lower mode: ask the Ironman tutor (fourth option) or use ::modes. It starts a 7 day wait that you can cancel; when it ends you are downgraded (it cannot be undone).

Changes

  • The game starts on our own picture with the PrivatePS logo and one Play now button instead of the RuneScape login screen: nothing can be typed, the launcher logs you in, and the welcome screen closes by itself (one click).
  • The start screen is ready for more than one world: a small "change world" dropdown appears at the bottom right as soon as a second world exists (hidden while there is only World 1).
  • New characters choose their game mode on the original Ironman Setup screen of the game (None, Ironman, Ultimate Ironman, Hardcore Ironman; Group Ironman is shown as coming soon). Everybody starts with Adventurer XP (15x). Existing characters keep their modes, and the XP mode can no longer be changed afterwards. Needs the new game client.
  • Trading now has a confirmation step on the trade window itself: both players press Accept, the offers lock and the window switches to "Trade Confirmation"; press Accept again to finish or Decline to cancel.
  • A trade request in the chat now shows the name of the player who sent it.
  • The Grand Exchange now only trades a fixed list of easy-to-get items, skilling supplies and seeds; buying is limited per item per 4 hours (the message tells you how long to wait); refusals show in red; the 8M price cap is gone.

Bug fixes

  • A new character no longer gets stuck on the Click to Play screen.
  • The Friends List now loads: you can add and remove friends, see who is online and send private messages.
  • The Ignore List works from the Friends tab (switch with the Ignore list / Friends list button).
  • The Chat-channel tab works again: Join chat, Leave chat, the member list and talking with the / symbol.
  • Typing cc, clanchat, staff, joff, naki, admin, mod or help in Join chat takes you to the help chat.
  • The Your Clan and View another clan tabs now say "No current clan" instead of "Connecting...".
  • The Report window has one "Submit Report" button again (a second one was drawn under it).
  • Typing in the Report window works like the game's own report window (needs the new game cache).

2026-10-20 (live-20261020-2058)

Changes

  • The red Report button next to the chat opens the report menu (Report player, Report bug, Request staff).

Bug fixes

  • The total level on the welcome screen, in the launcher and for the trading requirement now counts all 23 skills, as in the game.
  • The red Report button shows the word "Report" instead of a clock (needs the new game client).

2026-10-20 (live-20261020-1755)

Changes

  • The update notes on Discord now only list what is new in that update; older lines are no longer repeated.

Bug fixes

  • The logo and the buttons on the welcome screen no longer have a black box around them: the see-through parts of the pictures are see-through again.
  • The Play button on the welcome screen shows its golden glow when you point at it; it was the other way round.
  • The black start screen stays until the welcome screen is really on screen, so the stock login screen no longer flashes by.
  • The game starts silent: no login music plays while it starts, and the music volume stays off until you change it.
