How to start
Start by talking to the Strange Old Man at the Barrows.
Rewards
No fixed skill experience is listed in the completion reward. Any separate lamp or choice is described in the walkthrough and PrivatePS details below.
Preparation
- Bring equipment and supplies for all six Barrows brothers and the chest route.
Walkthrough
- Speak to the Strange Old Man at Barrows about the brothers and the icon.
- Defeat the six brothers and search the Barrows chest for the icon.
- Bring the icon to the Strange Old Man. He destroys it during the conversation; do not discard it yourself.
- Continue his dialogue to receive the crypt map and lamp. Rub the lamp separately to claim its Prayer experience.
These are the main steps. Your quest journal tracks your current objective; talk to the named NPCs again if a hand-in or next step is unavailable.
PrivatePS details
This is a Barrows miniquest. The lamp gives 20,000 base Prayer experience through quest-reward scaling. It is a separate item interaction, so the absence of a fixed skill-XP row in the completion rewards does not mean the lamp gives no experience.
