Big Chompy Bird Hunting is a quest of Feldip. Start it by talking to the person named in your quest journal; the journal tells you the next step as you go.

Requirements

Skill levels are only warned about when you start: the quest tells you if one of your levels is lower than needed to finish it, and a step you lack the level for cannot be completed.

Walkthrough

1. Talk to Rantz on the east coast of the Feldip Hills (2630 2981) and agree to make him ogre arrows
2. Chop achey trees (south-west of Rantz) and use a knife on the logs for ogre arrow shafts; buy a knife and chisel from Bugs (10 coins) and 25 feathers from Fycie (50 coins) in the cave north of Rantz if needed
3. Use feathers on the shafts, get wolf bones and use a chisel on them for wolfbone arrowtips, then use the tips on the flighted arrows
4. Give Rantz six ogre arrows and ask him the questions
5. In the cave, try the locked chest until the rock lifts, then search it for the ogre bellows
6. Use the empty bellows on the swamp bubbles, then use the filled bellows on a swamp toad for a bloated toad
7. Show Rantz the bloated toad
8. Drop a bloated toad in the clearing south of Rantz, then talk to Rantz
9. Talk to Rantz again, ask to have a go and he lends you his ogre bow
10. Shoot the chompy bird in the clearing with the ogre bow and ogre arrows, pluck it and show Rantz the raw chompy
11. Ask Fycie and Bugs what they want with their chompy (Rantz wants potato or onion, Fycie tomato or doogle leaves, Bugs equa leaves or cabbage)
12. Use the raw chompy on the spit-roast outside the cave while carrying the three ingredients
13. Hand the seasoned chompy to Rantz
