Update v0.7.0: supporters, Crystals, quests and diaries
This is our biggest update so far. Here is what is new.
New content
Sailing
- Leave any port: the shipwrights and the Crew Registrars have a new option, Set sail now, and the gangplank of a port (Cross or Board) does the same. A sailor without a boat borrows the harbour's loan raft.
- Board a friend: type ::board and a friend's name next to their boat to join it as a passenger. The captain steers, and everyone lands at the pier when the boat docks. ::unboard puts you on the nearest pier.
- Boat bottles: a boat bottle from sorting salvage can be opened for a clue scroll that fits your Sailing level.
Account tab, bonds and name changes
- Account tab: it shows your real supporter days, your Crystals and your polls. Without supporter time you see Upgrade Now and View Benefits.
- Bonds: click a bond to open the Old School Bonds window. Swap 1, 2 or 3 bonds for 5,000, 11,000 or 17,500 Crystals, spend bonds on supporter days (1 bond is 6 days, 3 bonds at once 30, 5 bonds 45, 10 bonds 100: the more you redeem in one go, the more days each bond gives), or buy a name change credit for 1 bond. You always get a confirm question first. The Bond pouch button in the settings tab keeps your bonds safe.
- Name changer: the Display name window changes your name. Look up a name, then confirm. The first change has no wait, after that you wait 30 days (14 for supporters) or use a name change credit. Your old name is kept for you for 30 days, and your friends, hiscores and bank follow you.
Supporters
- Supporter crown: a new silver-and-blue crown shows next to your name in chat and lists. Supporters also get a blue login message that everybody online sees.
- Supporter hall: the portal east of the Grand Exchange now leads into the supporter hall. Supporters walk in with Enter, everybody else can look around with Enter guest or open the bond window with Buy bond.
- Supporter pet: the first bond you redeem gives you Ric, a little blue giant that follows you. Probita in East Ardougne gives him back if you lose him.
- Bank and travel: +100 bank slots (4,100 in total), ::back to return to where you stood before your last teleport, and a Travel bank (::stash) with 10 tabs of 28 slots.
- Sales window: ::sales shows all your Grand Exchange offers on one screen and adds 2 extra slots, 10 in total.
- Equipment presets: ::presets saves up to 10 sets of worn gear and inventory and loads them again at a bank.
- Bank fetch: supporters can take a missing tool, key or quest item from their own bank.
- Coming soon: 28 Sailing jobs instead of 15 for supporters, and a supporters hub in the hall. See the support page for the full list.
Polls
- In-game polls: staff open polls with up to 8 options. Open the Poll window with the View Poll button on the Account tab (or ::polls), pick an answer and click Vote. You can change your vote until the poll closes, and closed polls show their results in the History tab. Polls are also announced on Discord. One vote per account, and the account must be 24 hours old.
Crystals, Mystery Box and the Grand Exchange
- Crystals: a new currency you earn by playing (skilling, boss kills and raids, about 70 per hour of active play and at most 560 per day). Type ::crystals to see your balance, exchange 25,000 Crystals for 30 days of supporter, hand in a pet or open a Mystery Box.
- Mystery Box: a box costs 10,000 Crystals and holds supplies, dragon gear, skilling bags, gilded and 3rd age pieces and, in 1 box out of 2,500, a partyhat, Halloween mask or Santa hat. Rare finds are announced in the Help chat.
- Items for sale: a new Grand Exchange window lists everything players have for sale, with a search and a rare-items filter (::forsale, or the clerk option For sale). The same list is on the Market page of the website and in the #market channel on Discord.
- Rare drop announcements: big drops show in the Help chat and on Discord. Turn them off for yourself with ::dropannounce off.
Quests, diaries, collection log and clues
- 11 new quests: Animal Magnetism, Eagles' Peak, The Golem, Ghosts Ahoy, The Grand Tree, Creature of Fenkenstrain, Tears of Guthix, Fairytale II - Cure a Queen, Zogre Flesh Eaters, Below Ice Mountain and Underground Pass.
- Achievement Diaries: the diary window lists all 12 regions and 492 tasks, and 461 of them can be done. Tasks tick off while you play. Every task master hands out the reward of each finished tier once: the cloak, shield, boots or ring and an antique lamp. The Explorer's ring, Falador shield and the other diary items now do something, and with all rewards claimed you can buy the Achievement Diary cape.
- Treasure Trails: clue scrolls work in all six tiers with the real rewards, scroll boxes, master clues, scroll cases and the Bloodhound pet.
- Collection log: about 76% of the log can now be filled. More bosses, minigames and skilling pets count, and the Clues tab is open.
- Wiki: pages for Crystals, the Mystery Box, the Grand Exchange, supporter perks, all 12 diaries, quests, shops, skill guides and every agility shortcut, with item pictures.
The world
- Shops: 347 more shopkeepers open their real shop with the OSRS stock, restock times and prices.
- Agility: about 130 shortcuts work, plus new courses (Barbarian Outpost, Wilderness, Shayzien, Colossal Wyrm, Prifddinas, Werewolf, Dorgesh-Kaan and Ape Atoll), the Agility Pyramid and the Stronghold of Security.
- Farming and the Abyss: grow the celastrus tree in the Farming Guild and the white tree in Varrock, and let the Mages of Zamorak teleport you to the Abyss. Hunter, Farming and Runecrafting have their skilling pets.
- Every NPC answers: shopkeepers, guards, townsfolk and animals chat in character when you Talk-to them.
Bosses and monsters
- Nex drags you in during the smoke phase, marks you for a blood sacrifice and punishes everyone close when she dies.
- Zulrah, Kraken, Hydra, Vorkath, Cerberus, Corporeal Beast and Abyssal Sire have their real mechanics: rotations and poison clouds, tentacle whirlpools, vents, the dragonfire bomb, soul ghosts, a stun and a final explosion.
- Dragons breathe fire and Karuulm drakes and wyrms attack from range. Bring an anti-dragon shield or an antifire potion.
- Desert Treasure II bosses (Duke Sucellus, Vardorvis, the Leviathan and the Whisperer) now drop loot, their pets and collection log pages.
- God Wars generals shout, Graardor slams the whole room and K'ril smashes your prayer.
- Slayer gear: gargoyles need a rock hammer, kurasks and turoths a leaf-bladed weapon, and basilisks a mirror shield.
Changes
- One experience rate: 15x is now the rate for everybody. Quest and minigame rewards give 10x and normal training stays at 15x. Combat, Prayer and Magic no longer get a bonus.
- Skill pace: farming crops grow in OSRS time again, bars need less coal than before (as in OSRS), raw lava eels give 60 Fishing xp, and Sailing xp uses the OSRS numbers.
- Economy: shops sell above what they buy back and alchemy has a profit cap. New accounts get a one-time 500,000 coin starter bundle.
- Grand Exchange: clerks sell everyday goods at 110% of the guide price and buy them at 80%. Rare items are only traded between players.
- Construction: left-click an empty spot to build your last choice, and bronze and iron nails no longer build furniture.
- Windows: the custom windows use the real OSRS frame and stock buttons and tabs.
- Chat icons: the ironman icon shows in chat, and an ironman supporter shows both icons in private chat.
- Fishing spots stand still and move to another spot in their area every 40 to 80 minutes.
- Discord: new members get a friendly message about the rules and how to link their game account.
Fixes
- Sailing: the autopilot keeps clear of the coast, taking the helm turns you to face the wheel, and cargo is lost when you teleport away mid-job.
- Ladders, stairs, ropes, cave entrances and locked doors that did nothing now work, and you arrive on the correct side.
- Objects that ignored you now answer like OSRS: chests, drawers, altars, wild crops and Search.
- Monsters fight with attack, block and death animations, and ranged and magic monsters shoot from a distance.
- Fishing spots, rock crabs and icebergs no longer wander, and NPCs stay inside their rooms.
- Agility obstacles play the right animation, and the Canifis and Falador rooftop courses work.
- Examine texts were added for thousands of NPCs, objects and noted items.
- Missing graphics for special attacks and the enchant and Lunar spells are back, and several darts, bolts and javelins can be used again.
- Makeover Mage works like in OSRS.
- Bankers and shopkeepers stand outside their booth, and the Edgeville General Store has its full stock.
Keep the notes coming with ::t or the red Report button.
